Wread and Write Number 1: Alec

Alec stepped out of the air-conditioned bus into the searing heat of a summer’s afternoon. As soon as his feet touched the cracked pavement he started into a brisk walk, aiming to get home to do his science homework before dinner. He rounded the corner without knowing of the danger that lay ahead.

New stuff!

Today I’m going to releas two new things to the blog. Let’s start with a new series of posts called Wread and Write. Basically, what I’m going to do is to write the opening page of a story and you can then write the next part and so on. At the end of each post I will have a my email address so you can send me your continuations.

The second thing I’m going to announce is a change of template. You’ve most already seen it and I hope you think it looks good. I decided to change it because I felt that the old template was getting a bit tacky!

Heelys – Hot or not?

 

First of all I would like to tell you about someone I saw today. This girl was about 9 or 10 years old and had some heelys on. She was walking over a bridge and had to stand on tiptoes with her heels off the edge of the step. when she got to the top, she skated along, found it hard to stop and amost fell off the other side. To walk down the bridge, she had to turn sideways and walk on her toes to get down. This is why I think Heelys aren’t all that good.

The tale of an (almost) lost phone

This all started when I was travelling through France and thought I had lost my phone. My dad told me off big time and we came home with no phone. We decided to get one today, so we went to the T-Mobile shop and bought a pay as you go phone (which I’ll review), £20 of credit and had the phone number transferred to my new one. As soon as we got back we got a phone call from my friend who had found my phone. So after buying £85 of phone my sister gets a new phone, but don’t tell her ‘cos she doesn’t know it yet!

I didn’t know Mac OSX could run on a PC! Well it seems that PC world do with a scan of the first page in their recent ctalogua, advertising how brilliant Vista is. It seems someone’s gonna get in trouble! Pics after the jump…

Post no. 2 Eeek!

God, what a hard post to lead on from! Still I needed to get it out in the open before I started getting emails and comments about how childish my writing is. trust me, I’ve had that happen.

Well now onto the post! I thought I’d tell you about the awful day I’ve had. It started in maths when our teacher gave us 7 pages of transformation problems due in on monday.
